Why more Mum’s are turning to Network Marketing

As a Full Time Carer, my career was limited, I even thought over, as I had chosen to give up teaching to become a full time carer and be there for both my children and that is how I stumbled upon the term ‘Network Marketing’.

What is it? It is quite simply a marketing strategy for the sale of products or services from a company through a representative and the individual can earn some money doing it. Other terms such as ‘MLM’ and ‘Direct Sellin’ spring to mind too. How did I stumble across it? To cut a long story short, I got involved seeing an advert on facebook that quite simply said earn money from home. I had no idea what it involved but being a bored stay at home mum in need of some instant cash, I inquired. That was in 2016 and I have not looked back since.

Why are more mum’s joining the industry, again another easy question to answer.

As Ray Higdon states ‘It’s the lowest cost with the lowest overheads for the average person to be able to create a business’

You tell me, who doesn’t want to earn some extra spending money? It’s a lot easier to do that selling goods or a service to friends and family than taking on a second job or putting in overtime. The fun can really start to happen when friends and family see what you are doing and jump on board to do the same and here is another famous quote, “Teamwork makes the Dream Work” and this is where the pennies turn into pounds. There have been many success stories of mum’s giving up their full time jobs, retiring their husbands and all whilst being at home with the children

Does Network Marketing work for everyone, the answer is NO and the main reason for this is it does take work, just like any other business and to learn some new skills; many do not believe they can achieve what others have done before them and quit before success. Given that more and more mum’s are turning to network marketing it is not surprising that network marketing is turning more mums’ into self made millionaires.

I hope this has given you some thought into the industry and will certainly be talking about it some more soon. I personally am not a quitter and therefore I am in it for the long haul given that as a full time carer there really iss nothing else that will make me afford the life I dream. How to Overcome A Mental Block.

First of all, let me apologise for being AWOL recently. This is my first blog of 2019 and we are already in March, yikes. Why have I had some time out, well quite simply I have hit a crossroads in my business life and I started to doubt what I was doing and therefore unsure of what to write about. I had a mental block.

Today I would like to share how I have since taken the courage to start back up and trust my journey and the process. Thus the title of my first blog of 2019 is ‘How To Overcome A Mental Block’. As a mum we often face challenges on a daily basis; some small, some huge. Smaller ones like fighting with our children over what to have for breakfast to getting ready on time to bigger challenges like bullying and financial issues. We simply have to find a way to overcome these and I hope how I have overcome my current block can help you too.

Not sure where to go

First, I decided I had to admit my block to myself, rather than stifle it inside and this allowed me to acknowledge it existed and understand it was having an affect on myself as well as my business. Second I knew I had to share it and this I didn’t find easy, admitting I was unsure about my business, I mean who would trust me from then on but I knew it was necessary to move forward. The best part of this stage was it allowed others, my friends and colleagues to share their mental blocks too and we began to not only trust one another more but help one another. Then I sought coaching, this was from various people who I found I could be truly honest with and not judged, there is nothing worse than trying to be open but inside holding back through fear of being criticized.

Finally I began to journal and seriously if you haven’t tried this yet, I would strongly recommend it. I hadn’t believed in journalling before but it has allowed me to often write down my thoughts, without over thinking and question myself on paper and then give myself answers in a pragmatic way. Simple but effective. With the help of two courses I’m currently taking let’s get the show of 2019 back on the road.

So to sum up actions to take if experiencing a mental block
1. Admit it to yourself
2. Share with others, they may be able to offer some advice
3. Ask for expert advice, people who can be non partial and be prepared to listen and take action
4. Journal your thoughts on a daily basis

Thank you for reading and if this has helped in any way or you could add to the tips, please leave a comment below. If you would like to know the courses I’m currently taking then comment below or message me via @linktr.ee/shaz_crowley

Stop With the Excuses

How many excuses do you tell yourself every day?
How many excuses do you let your children get away with?

If you want it, you need to work for it and that means working to achieve your goal when the tough gets going; when you’re sick, when you’re tired and simply when you don’t want to.
Consistency + Action = Results

You have to understand why you want a certain goal and visualise how you will feel when you reach it. Write your goal down and look at it every day.. Journal about it, do you feel better when you’re a step closer, write down times when you don’t want to take action and see if there are any coincidences.

If the goal isn’t that important to you, then that’s fine also. A common goal is most women want to lose weight, but deep down many (including myself I might add) are just not willing to take the appropriate action to get the results they need. In this instance; smaller steps, smaller habits and some progress is better than none.

However if the goal is extremely important keep reminding yourself why you started working towards your goal and stop giving yourself the excuses not to take action on a daily basis. img_09251

I would love to hear if this has helped you get back on track with your goals.
Feel free to share to someone that continues to have the same New Year goals.

How to Create MORE Hours in the Day

Hey, and do you like the title? How to create more hours in the day, it’s something I’ve said to myself often and hear many a friends say it too these days. Now the realist in me knows this is impossible given that everyone only gets 24 hours in a day HOWEVER you can start to use your time more efficiently.

I did go live with this subject on my profile today but due to the bad weather, the sound wasn’t so great therefore I decided to write this blog.

Here are my top tips to help you maximise more time with your day.

  1. Plan your day and write down all your priorities that needs to get done and slot in the times of when you are going to complete it, ensuring they get done.
  2. Avoid distractions; yes that means getting lost in a book, watching too much TV or simply scrolling through Facebook (this is considered time wasting)
  3. Delegate;  can you delegate chores to any other members of the family thus saving you some time.
  4. Get your big stuff done first, this simply means the items you’re not looking forward too or the ones that will take the longest time to complete
  5. Don’t try to book in too much in one day, which is something I myself am currently working on. Booking tasks in your diary 9-10, 10-11 etc is only going to cause a backlog and lots of  stress.
  6. Can you multi task? This simply means completing a task whilst doing something else for instance watching TV,  for me, I personally like to listen to an audio book whilst ironing/cleaning. I have just finished Gary Vee’s “Crushing It” and if you are looking to improve your following on social media I would strongly recommend it.
  7. Always, always, on a daily basis make time for yourself. Most mornings I wake up earlier than my kids so I can have my coffee in peace, plan my day and get my head together.

I hope at least one of these tips might help you with your time, I would love to hear from you if you have any tips that work too. Feel free to share and if you start to do just one of these and feel better for it, do reach out and let me know; I always love to personally say Hi and chat or conenct with me @linktr.ee/shaz_crowley

Have a great week and go create more time,

Why I love Network Marketing

Most people these days have heard of Network Marketing, Direct Sales or MLM, many have tried it with companies and it hasn’t worked out for them so why do I love it?

First of all, my situation. My teaching job that I gave up when my daughter started school, she has Down’s Syndrome and my hours included night classes, travelling and not always the same school holidays due to different boroughs. I wanted to be there each day to speak to her Teaching Assistant and I knew before and after school clubs wouldn’t be for her. So from a family perspective, I became a stay at home mum. However after always being a career minded person this didn’t sit too well and that is how I stumbled across working from home.

This was nearly three years ago and I haven’t looked back, why?
Here are my 5 top reasons

1. Simple, I earn money; it really is that simple in that for every order I place I earn commission. For each level both myself and my team achieve we earn a monthly income and if I work towards certain company incentives then that is more money again. This money means I have my own independence and I can use it on any treats I want so therefore not impacting on the family money.

2. I make new friends; being at home most days it can become hard to connect with new people, however with social media as it is I now connect with new people daily and often find that they turn out to be long lasting friends who I can chat too.

3. I love learning; Network Marketing really is a profession rather than just a hobby so recently I have started treating it like a business which means learning skills. Skills that are needed most are confidence and people skills. In this profession people share regularly their tips, advice, techniques and it is great to be part of this culture.

4. I am my own boss; I seriously work my own hours and take time off as and when I like. In addition to the school runs I can attend Sports Day, Assemblies, have lunch with friends and a pamper any time I choose without asking permission.

5. I see the future; so many jobs are no longer secure, so many shops are shutting down, so many companies are relying more and more on technology, in that our future of employment is changing. This profession has only just started and the future looks great.

I hope this has been of value, if you are in Network Marketing, do you agree with my five tips? Have I missed any points. If you are not happy with your current situation could this help you? If so, please get in touch and we can chat, what I do may or may not be a fit for you but we could still chat. Feel free to share if you agree.

See you next week

How to stay motivated in Network Marketing.

Most people these days have heard of Network Marketing, other names for it includes MLM and Direct Sales but quite simply it’s the same thing. Lots of people have tried it for one of two reasons, they love the products or they want to earn some extra money; maybe even both. However many have quit and that is such a shame.

I feel this profession is just starting out and with more and more companies closing, job security is at a low so why not give the one thing that you can personally control, your all. Many are making their success and creating the life they want simply by giving it their all until they eventually reach their goal. Quitting isn’t the answer, learning the skills and taking action is.

So how to stay motivated in Network Marketing as it isn’t easy once your friends and family have purchased your products and the buzz starts to wear off, this is simply the phase where the work actually starts. Learn the skills and remember there are people in the industry, in your company too, that have made it, so why can’t you!!

Here are my top 5 tips to staying motivated.
1. Invest in Personal Development every single day; this is my biggest tip by far as this is how you will learn the skills; learn what to say, learn simple techniques, and learn how to keep up to date with technology

2. Have regular 1:2:1’s with your upline and your team; this will help you with action points and keep you focused to stay on track

3. Love your products; it is hard to recommend products that you don’t love or even use and your passion for them or lack of it will come across to your friends.

4. Go to events; this time last year I was at my company global event in Poland and oh my, seeing real people walk away with certificates, cars and stand on that stage was amazing. At events, leaders are born as they can see what the future has in store for them and it all becomes real.

5. Finally, believe in yourself and that this will work; this is a serious one and can take years for some to actually believe that it works, I’ve been there. Remember if someone in your company has already done it, then you can too, just follow these 5 steps to staying motivated daily until you reach your goals.

I hope this has been of value to you and if it has feel free to share.
If you have been thinking of joining Network Marketing for some time, then today is the best day to do it. I would love to have a chat with you so please get in touch (linktr.ee/shaz_crowley).

See you next week,
Sharon

What to do when you are not getting the results you want?

Most people these days want results, yesterday. with minimum effort, myself included and I do believe that when the results come quickly it is easier to stick to your original plan.

However what do you do when you are not getting those results you want, fast enough? Here I share my top 5 tips.

  1. My number one tip is to remember why you started. If you can remember the reason you started your journey, whether that is to lose weight or some other goal, that alone should help you carry on until you achieve your goal.
  2. Evaluate what you are doing. Seriously consider are you giving your goal 100%, I mean if you want to get fit don’t just exercise once a week. Give it 100% and you should see results.
  3. Get a buddy. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again but having an accountability buddy can really help kick you up the bum when needed and pull you up when you’re having a bad day. Get one.
  4. Look at your goal, could it be too big for you right now? For instance, are you trying to lose a lot of weight? If so, then break the goal down into smaller chunks and pat yourself on the back when you’ve achieved those.
  5. My final tip, they do say the same routine each day will give you the same results, so start to shake up your routine. Consider trying some different foods that will kick start your metabolism, try a different gym class that will work out different parts of the body; changes like these should get those results coming your way.

I hope this has been of value, please do let me know if any of the tips have helped as I always respond personally to all my messages. Share if you know somebody that this blog could help and if you would like my FREE guide on ‘How To Be More Productive’ comment below and I’ll get it over to you.

Routine, mum’s do you need one?

Routine, do you have one, do you need one?

As a busy mum of two young ones, I kind of thought I had a routine going and to some degree I did. I got up, fed the kids, shipped them of to school, picked them back up etc However once I started building a business online I realised that my ‘so called’ routine just simply wasn’t working anymore. I picked the kids up and hadn’t even thought about tea, I began rushing to complete homework last minute and you can only imagine the rows I had with my husband. He wanted to know what on earth I was doing between 9 & 3 and to be honest so did I!

So I started to implement a routine with a planner, blocking out time that was needed with my family first. Next came the essential chores within the household and this started to make me decide somethings could be delegated (I hadn’t thought of this before but my children are now of an age they can help) and the time left was for my online business and the all important ‘me time’. I slowly started to work smarter, concentrating on what needed to be done and what really could be left and this is still an ongoing project.

The house is slowly starting to run a little more smoothly, I am not running around like a headless chicken and the family are adapting to this new routine.  School holidays however can be a nightmare, especially when building an online business but having the planner and ensuring that sometime, no matter how small, is spent on the essentials; it should work. This will also help me focus more when working, rather than looking busy (another story) and ensure I fit it in around the family (for instance when they are sleeping).

My motto is to always look for the win /win.

I hope this has helped you and understand that mum’s not only need a routine, it is essential to get things done on time, all the time and the kids do appreciate it too; it is even more important when building an online business. If you are struggling with routines, I would be happy to send you my FREE  guide ‘How to plan your day’.

Thank you very much for reading and do comment and share if you have found this of value as I always reply to your comments personally.
