Simple or Easy? You Tell Me!

How many times do you hear the saying ‘It’s easy’ and you are there thinking if it is that easy why am I struggling? Stay tuned as I dissect this further.

Two things I like to talk to you about are my own health journey and my own work from home journey and this fits in easily with both or should that be simply?

However today let’s talk weight loss; it should be easy shouldn’t it? Eat less calories, exercise more but if it really was that simple why am I not at a healthy weight yet, why does it feel like I’ve been on some type of diet all my life, why do companies consistently come up with new products to help me lose weight? It just ain’t that simple is it? WHY?

Let’s look at other things that could be affecting the ‘eat less, move more’ theory. I am a busy mum and I am also a full time carer, I take care of the running of the house and I am working from home, therefore sometimes actually eating a decent healthy meal takes precious time to prepare and cook and I often reach for something I know I shouldn’t either to satisfy the hunger pangs or when I realise I’ve not eaten yet. It’s quick and convenient, so time needs to be factored in here and obviously organisation.

Another consideration which plays a huge part is mindset and I talk often about this because when you really are truly in the zone, it does feel simple, it does feel easy because you want it strongly enough and you are taking actions to achieve your goal. You have the right mindset. When that starts to falter you will come up with every excuse not to exercise, you will tell yourself you are happy with your weight. So mindset is also another huge contribution to this debate.

Therefore is it really that simple to lose weight? I would say yes; with the right mindset, some organisation and time to plan your meals and your exercise, it can be. Is it easy, not at all as you have to stick to it?

I hope you have found this useful and maybe can relate to this, if so please comment below I would love to hear from you. Click follow to see further blogs and thanks for reading.

Why more Mum’s are turning to Network Marketing

As a Full Time Carer, my career was limited, I even thought over, as I had chosen to give up teaching to become a full time carer and be there for both my children and that is how I stumbled upon the term ‘Network Marketing’.

What is it? It is quite simply a marketing strategy for the sale of products or services from a company through a representative and the individual can earn some money doing it. Other terms such as ‘MLM’ and ‘Direct Sellin’ spring to mind too. How did I stumble across it? To cut a long story short, I got involved seeing an advert on facebook that quite simply said earn money from home. I had no idea what it involved but being a bored stay at home mum in need of some instant cash, I inquired. That was in 2016 and I have not looked back since.

Why are more mum’s joining the industry, again another easy question to answer.

As Ray Higdon states ‘It’s the lowest cost with the lowest overheads for the average person to be able to create a business’

You tell me, who doesn’t want to earn some extra spending money? It’s a lot easier to do that selling goods or a service to friends and family than taking on a second job or putting in overtime. The fun can really start to happen when friends and family see what you are doing and jump on board to do the same and here is another famous quote, “Teamwork makes the Dream Work” and this is where the pennies turn into pounds. There have been many success stories of mum’s giving up their full time jobs, retiring their husbands and all whilst being at home with the children

Does Network Marketing work for everyone, the answer is NO and the main reason for this is it does take work, just like any other business and to learn some new skills; many do not believe they can achieve what others have done before them and quit before success. Given that more and more mum’s are turning to network marketing it is not surprising that network marketing is turning more mums’ into self made millionaires.

I hope this has given you some thought into the industry and will certainly be talking about it some more soon. I personally am not a quitter and therefore I am in it for the long haul given that as a full time carer there really iss nothing else that will make me afford the life I dream. How to Overcome A Mental Block.

First of all, let me apologise for being AWOL recently. This is my first blog of 2019 and we are already in March, yikes. Why have I had some time out, well quite simply I have hit a crossroads in my business life and I started to doubt what I was doing and therefore unsure of what to write about. I had a mental block.

Today I would like to share how I have since taken the courage to start back up and trust my journey and the process. Thus the title of my first blog of 2019 is ‘How To Overcome A Mental Block’. As a mum we often face challenges on a daily basis; some small, some huge. Smaller ones like fighting with our children over what to have for breakfast to getting ready on time to bigger challenges like bullying and financial issues. We simply have to find a way to overcome these and I hope how I have overcome my current block can help you too.

Not sure where to go

First, I decided I had to admit my block to myself, rather than stifle it inside and this allowed me to acknowledge it existed and understand it was having an affect on myself as well as my business. Second I knew I had to share it and this I didn’t find easy, admitting I was unsure about my business, I mean who would trust me from then on but I knew it was necessary to move forward. The best part of this stage was it allowed others, my friends and colleagues to share their mental blocks too and we began to not only trust one another more but help one another. Then I sought coaching, this was from various people who I found I could be truly honest with and not judged, there is nothing worse than trying to be open but inside holding back through fear of being criticized.

Finally I began to journal and seriously if you haven’t tried this yet, I would strongly recommend it. I hadn’t believed in journalling before but it has allowed me to often write down my thoughts, without over thinking and question myself on paper and then give myself answers in a pragmatic way. Simple but effective. With the help of two courses I’m currently taking let’s get the show of 2019 back on the road.

So to sum up actions to take if experiencing a mental block
1. Admit it to yourself
2. Share with others, they may be able to offer some advice
3. Ask for expert advice, people who can be non partial and be prepared to listen and take action
4. Journal your thoughts on a daily basis

Thank you for reading and if this has helped in any way or you could add to the tips, please leave a comment below. If you would like to know the courses I’m currently taking then comment below or message me via @linktr.ee/shaz_crowley

Stop With the Excuses

How many excuses do you tell yourself every day?
How many excuses do you let your children get away with?

If you want it, you need to work for it and that means working to achieve your goal when the tough gets going; when you’re sick, when you’re tired and simply when you don’t want to.
Consistency + Action = Results

You have to understand why you want a certain goal and visualise how you will feel when you reach it. Write your goal down and look at it every day.. Journal about it, do you feel better when you’re a step closer, write down times when you don’t want to take action and see if there are any coincidences.

If the goal isn’t that important to you, then that’s fine also. A common goal is most women want to lose weight, but deep down many (including myself I might add) are just not willing to take the appropriate action to get the results they need. In this instance; smaller steps, smaller habits and some progress is better than none.

However if the goal is extremely important keep reminding yourself why you started working towards your goal and stop giving yourself the excuses not to take action on a daily basis. img_09251

I would love to hear if this has helped you get back on track with your goals.
Feel free to share to someone that continues to have the same New Year goals.

How to deal with Stress?

Stress, typically these days is part of most people’s life, especially mine. Being a busy mum, kids can send you roaring from 0-60 in seconds and with busier lifestyles than ever before, it is difficult to not feel that tension in your neck begin.

How do you deal with stress, do you have any tips or do you simply lose it or in my case reach for the wine. Whilst I understand as I get older both of these are not long term solutions and therefore I decided to do a little research to deal with stress a little healthier for all the family.

Thus let’s look at the top 7 best ways to deal with it and I would love to hear how you deal with stress, or which one of the 7 is your favourite.

  1. Chew gum; chewing gum is recommended to help lower the level of cortisol a known stress hormone.
  2. Colouring; the chance of doing something that doesn’t require a lot of attention or focus like doodling or colouring can bring a sense of calm.
  3. Change of scenery; if you find yourself in a stressful situation, try and go into another room or step outside as if you are closing the door on the situation and therefore reducing the stress.
  4. Focus on action; sometimes stress is caused by a factor that you can no longer do anything about; an illness, an accident. In this instance take action and on something you can do like considering tidy a drawer.
  5. Sing; belt out a tune, stick some music on and sing
  6. Concentrate on your breathing; the old saying of ‘count to ten’ certainly rings true here. Deep breaths will always reduce the stress and then consider adding in some meditation for extra relaxation.
  7. Pamper Time; spend 10 minutes a day minimum on yourself. Time to yourself is paramount, a book or a bath to help enjoy your time alone and ideal for assistance in thinking clearer.

I hope this has provided some value and do feel free to share. My go to as previously mentioned was alcohol and it certainly doesn’t help in the long run so I too will be putting some of these top tips into practice. Reach out if you use a better trick as I always enjoy connecting with my readers or connect with me here linktr.ee/shaz_crowley
Have a great week and I’ll see you next Monday.

Why I love Network Marketing

Most people these days have heard of Network Marketing, Direct Sales or MLM, many have tried it with companies and it hasn’t worked out for them so why do I love it?

First of all, my situation. My teaching job that I gave up when my daughter started school, she has Down’s Syndrome and my hours included night classes, travelling and not always the same school holidays due to different boroughs. I wanted to be there each day to speak to her Teaching Assistant and I knew before and after school clubs wouldn’t be for her. So from a family perspective, I became a stay at home mum. However after always being a career minded person this didn’t sit too well and that is how I stumbled across working from home.

This was nearly three years ago and I haven’t looked back, why?
Here are my 5 top reasons

1. Simple, I earn money; it really is that simple in that for every order I place I earn commission. For each level both myself and my team achieve we earn a monthly income and if I work towards certain company incentives then that is more money again. This money means I have my own independence and I can use it on any treats I want so therefore not impacting on the family money.

2. I make new friends; being at home most days it can become hard to connect with new people, however with social media as it is I now connect with new people daily and often find that they turn out to be long lasting friends who I can chat too.

3. I love learning; Network Marketing really is a profession rather than just a hobby so recently I have started treating it like a business which means learning skills. Skills that are needed most are confidence and people skills. In this profession people share regularly their tips, advice, techniques and it is great to be part of this culture.

4. I am my own boss; I seriously work my own hours and take time off as and when I like. In addition to the school runs I can attend Sports Day, Assemblies, have lunch with friends and a pamper any time I choose without asking permission.

5. I see the future; so many jobs are no longer secure, so many shops are shutting down, so many companies are relying more and more on technology, in that our future of employment is changing. This profession has only just started and the future looks great.

I hope this has been of value, if you are in Network Marketing, do you agree with my five tips? Have I missed any points. If you are not happy with your current situation could this help you? If so, please get in touch and we can chat, what I do may or may not be a fit for you but we could still chat. Feel free to share if you agree.

See you next week

Energy All Day, Everyday?

Who wouldn’t like all day, every day energy eh, it may seem impossible but it isn’t?

Simple small changes to your lifestyle and your diet can start the process off and be supplemented by specific vitamins until you no longer need them. Some people know and understand this but still don’t make those changes. Let’s start together today.

Recently I have been of the mindset, you only live once, let’s have some fun and that’s great but as you get older, it gets harder to lose weight, harder to look fresh, harder to have energy throughout the day and I would rather feel healthy and energetic for many years to come than have a fun filled life for only a few years. What are your thoughts?

Here are my top 5 tips on making those small changes today,
1. Eat better, stop with the processed food and start to cook from scratch. Cook in bulk if you are busy in the week.

2. Plan in some exercise;  by planning it in your diary you are committing to it. It doesn’t have to be strenuous;  a walk, a cycle ride,  swimming all easy to access in the summer months.

3. Mindset; energy is positive so to make the most of it you need to be in the right mindset and have the right positive attitude and I can assure you it will make a huge difference.

4. Sleep; lack of sleep is a huge factor when it comes to energy and mood so stick to the same sleep patterns throughout your week and weekend.

5. Vitamins; vitamins these days no longer need to be a multivitamin as companies are producing them for specific people for specific issues. Make sure you are taking ones that will help you.

I hope you have found some value in this and over the next few weeks I will be going into each tip in more detail as this is simply an overview. I am on this journey with you, so please click follow and connect with me via linktr.ee/shaz_crowley
If I can help in anyway especially about the specific vitamins then reach out and I will see you again soon.

How to stay motivated in Network Marketing.

Most people these days have heard of Network Marketing, other names for it includes MLM and Direct Sales but quite simply it’s the same thing. Lots of people have tried it for one of two reasons, they love the products or they want to earn some extra money; maybe even both. However many have quit and that is such a shame.

I feel this profession is just starting out and with more and more companies closing, job security is at a low so why not give the one thing that you can personally control, your all. Many are making their success and creating the life they want simply by giving it their all until they eventually reach their goal. Quitting isn’t the answer, learning the skills and taking action is.

So how to stay motivated in Network Marketing as it isn’t easy once your friends and family have purchased your products and the buzz starts to wear off, this is simply the phase where the work actually starts. Learn the skills and remember there are people in the industry, in your company too, that have made it, so why can’t you!!

Here are my top 5 tips to staying motivated.
1. Invest in Personal Development every single day; this is my biggest tip by far as this is how you will learn the skills; learn what to say, learn simple techniques, and learn how to keep up to date with technology

2. Have regular 1:2:1’s with your upline and your team; this will help you with action points and keep you focused to stay on track

3. Love your products; it is hard to recommend products that you don’t love or even use and your passion for them or lack of it will come across to your friends.

4. Go to events; this time last year I was at my company global event in Poland and oh my, seeing real people walk away with certificates, cars and stand on that stage was amazing. At events, leaders are born as they can see what the future has in store for them and it all becomes real.

5. Finally, believe in yourself and that this will work; this is a serious one and can take years for some to actually believe that it works, I’ve been there. Remember if someone in your company has already done it, then you can too, just follow these 5 steps to staying motivated daily until you reach your goals.

I hope this has been of value to you and if it has feel free to share.
If you have been thinking of joining Network Marketing for some time, then today is the best day to do it. I would love to have a chat with you so please get in touch (linktr.ee/shaz_crowley).
